Catch up on Friday's World Cup action as the stars of Ligue 1 McDonald's helped Morocco and Brazil to Group C wins.
After a gritty opening draw against Brazil, the Atlas Lions were back in action against Scotland in Boston. LOSC midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who had impressed in his competitive debut against Brazil, was back in the eleven, alongside Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain), while RC Strasbourg's Samir El Mourabet played half an hour off the bench. Morocco would waste no time in taking the game to the Scots, with Brahim Diaz playing in Ismael Saibari with just two minutes gone. From there, the match settled, with Morocco then missing a flurry of chances before the break.
The second half continued the Moroccans' dominance, but some strong play by Angus Gunn in their goal denied Bilal El Khannouss on the hour. But save a pair of half-hearted penalty shouts, one early in the second half and one late on, the Scots did little to trouble Bono in the Morocco goal, the former Sevilla man finishing the match with a clean sheet not having made a save. Against Haiti on Wednesday, Morocco will advance with a point, but could look to top the group should they make up Brazil's lead on goal difference.

In Philadelphia Brazil were also eager to rack up a win to keep pace with Morocco, and they found Haïti an altogether obliging opponent. Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain) was in the eleven for the Selecão, with Endrick (Lyon) coming off the bench. For Haïti, Josué Casimir (Auxerre), Johnny Placide (Bastia), Carlens Arcus (Angers) and Martin Éxperience (Nancy) all started.
The Haitians played valiantly, as they had against the Scots. However, a quickfire double from Matheus Cunha made the difference in a comfortable win, with former Stade Rennais winger Raphina and Vini Junior proving too much for the Haitian fullbacks. Brazil will next face Scotland next week in Miami, and will look to keep hold of first place in the group.
