Ligue 1 McDonald's players were involved across a series of international friendlies on Tuesday, with Gessime Yassine marking a personal milestone and several France-based players contributing in fixtures across Europe, Africa and Asia.
In Lens, the RC Strasbourg midfielder made his first international start as Morocco beat Paraguay 2-1. Bilal El Khannouss had opened the scoring before Neil El Aynaoui added a second on his former home ground for RC Lens. Achraf Hakimi also featured as Morocco controlled large periods of the game, with Yassine earning his first start at senior international level.
Nigeria drew 2-2 with Jordan in Antalya, with Moses Simon scoring for the Super Eagles. The Paris FC winger equalised after Mousa Al-Tamari, of Stade Rennais, had opened the scoring for the first time as captain.
At Wembley, Stade de Reims winger Keito Nakamura registered an assist as Japan beat England 1-0. His pass set up Kaoru Mitoma for the game’s only goal, as England struggled to create clear chances without Harry Kane.
Cameroon’s 2-0 win over China included appearances from Danny Namaso of AJ Auxerre and Darlin Yongwa of FC Lorient, while Ivory Coast’s 1-0 victory over Scotland saw former Nice man Nicolas Pépé score the only goal. Elye Wahi (OGC Nice) and Auxerre's Clément Akpa were also involved.
