Olympique Lyonnais have kicked off the mercato with a bang as they've announced the signing of Brazilian international on loan for the rest of the season.
On Tuesday afternoon, Olympique Lyonnais announced the loan signing of 19-year-old Brazilian striker Endrick from Real Madrid. While Lyon have had a fine start to the season, sitting fifth in Ligue 1 McDonald's and atop the Europa League group stage, they have struggled for goals following the departure of Alexandre Lacazette and a long-term injury to Malick Fofana. A product of the academy of Palmeiras in São Paulo, Endrick joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 having already made his debut for the senior national team.
Widely expected to join the Auiverde at this summer's World Cup, he has struggled with injury and a lack of playing time under Xabi Alonso this season, and will come to France hoping to be a regular part of the eleven while also featuring regularly in European competition.

By joining Lyon, the teenager becomes part of a long line of Brazilian players at the club, including the likes of Cris, Juninho, Sonny Anderson, Lucas Paquetá, Bruno Guimarães and more. In the current squad, he'll join defender Abner, becoming the first player to go from Real Madrid to Lyon since striker Mariano Diaz. Having won two league titles with Palmeiras as well as several prestigious individual awards, he'll be looked at as a key element in Paulo Fonseca's young and exciting team.
