UEFA Nations League

In a match featuring several Ligue 1 players, late goals from Patrick Dorgu and Marseille's Pierre-Emilie Højberg led Denmark to a 2-0 win over a Switzerland side for whom Denis Zakaria, Becir Omeragic and Breel Embolo all featured. The Swiss finished with nine men, as Granit Xhaka and Nico Elvedi were both sent off. For Poland, Lens' Przemysław Frankowski played 90 minutes as Poland earned a dramatic win over Scotland thanks to a stoppage time penalty from Nicola Zalewski

Elsewhere in Europe, Spain and Serbia played out a scoreless draw at Red Star Stadium in Belgrade, with PSG's Fabian Ruiz in the starting eleven, while his club teammate Milan Skriniar led Slovakia to a 1-0 win over Estonia. Sweden notched a 3-1 win in Azerbaijan, with Sebastian Nanasi (Strasbourg) and Gabriel Gudmundsson (LOSC Lille) both staying on the bench. Finally, PSG players Nuno Mendes and Vitinha both featured, the former playing 90 minutes and the latter all but as Portugal won at home in Lisbon against Croatia, 2-1.

AFC  anD CAF WORLD cup qualifying

 Japan were the big winners on the day, hammering China 7-0 at home. AS Monaco's Takumi Minamino scored a brace in six minutes in the second half, while Stade de Reims' Junya Ito came off the bench to score as well. Jordan and Montpellier HSC attacker Musa Al-Tamaari scored on 14 minutes for the hosts, but they were pegged back and drew after a late goal from Kuwait. 

In Africa, Stade Rennais' Amine Gouiri netted off the bench for Algeria in a 2-0 win over Equatorial Guinea, while Lorient's Montassar Talbi and Tunisia beat a Madagascar side featuring Auxerre midfielder Rayan Raveloson 1-0.
