Luca Koleosho: Meet Paris FC's newest signing
After securing the signature of Diego Coppola earlier in the month, Paris FC have moved to sign another player who spent time with the club on loan last season, Luca Koleosho. Learn more about the Italian winger with our latest One to Watch.
A multicultural background
Born in the United States, Koleosho's background reveals the global influence of the game. With a Nigerian father and an Italian-Canadian mother, he made his youth debut for the US as an U-15, before signing a youth contract with Espanyol, making his debut for the Catalan side in 2022. His play there caught the eye of Italy, and he's been a regular for the youth setup, and even made his senior debut earlier this in a friendly against Luxembourg, having also previously been called up for Canada's senior team.
Breaking into the first team at Espanyol at 17, he featured sparingly, but his talent was evident as ambitious English side Burnley signed him in 2023. He was a bit part player as the team were relegated, but more than came into his own the following season in the Championship, making 30 appearances across all competitions. He spent the first half of last season back on loan with Espanyol, but managed just five appearances as he struggled to crack a veteran-laden side.

After joining Paris FC in mid-January, he struggled to start ahead of the likes of Moses Simon, Ilan Kebbal and Jonathan Ikoné, but nonetheless made an impact, scoring three times, including netting the winner off the bench in his league debut. Integral to helping the club avoid the drop, he was a favorite in a largely veteran side for Antoine Kombouaré, and ended the season with fourteen appearances.
Now back in the capital on a contract that runs through 2031, he earned unambiguous from sporting director Marco Neppe, joining a club that's been the league's most ambitious alongside Diego Coppola, Pablo Pagis, Patrick Zabi and Lassine Sinayoko. Said Neppe, "Thanks to his previous stint at the club, Luca is a player we know very well by now. We were absolutely keen to bring him back. Luca is young and possesses great qualities; his profile fits the team's needs perfectly. We are confident that he will be able to realize his full potential here and contribute to Paris FC’s future success."
