By eliminating FC Bayern Munich — current leaders of the UEFA club rankings — Paris Saint-Germain moved up to third place in Europe, overtaking Liverpool FC (4th). It marks a historic achievement for the reigning European champions. PSG had previously reached top spot in the rankings during the 1997/98 season.
Having now qualified for the UEFA Champions League final for the third time in the club’s history — and for the second consecutive season — Paris Saint-Germain are guaranteed to finish the campaign on the UEFA rankings podium, rewarding the club’s consistency at the summit of European football.
PSG still trail FC Bayern Munich (1st) and Real Madrid CF (2nd) in the standings.
Among the other French clubs, LOSC Lille occupy 29th place in the UEFA rankings, Olympique Lyonnais sit 31st, AS Monaco are 45th, and Olympique de Marseille rank 47th. As a result, Ligue 1 McDonald’s has five clubs inside Europe’s Top 50 in 2025/26.
INFO: France remain fifth in the UEFA country rankings, while posting the sixth-best coefficient of the 2025/26 season (18.178).
