Ousmane Dembélé's first-half strike was enough for Paris Saint-Germain to reach the Champions League final as the holders drew with Bayern Munich, one-all, to advance 6-5 on aggregate.
Despite a lively atmosphere at the Allianz Arena, Paris Saint-Germain would start smartly, and it was Fabián Ruiz, playing in midfield following Warren Zaïre-Emery's switch to right back who would be the catalyst. Playing a clever reverse ball to split the defence, the Spaniard found Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the break, who cut a pass back smartly for Ousmane Dembélé. The Frenchman, clinical as he has been all season, found it all too easy to score his seventh goal in European competition this season.
Bayern would grow in to the match from there, and had a fine chance as Jamal Musiala broke into the area (15'), but a timely tackle from Vitinha allowed the Parisians to get away on the break. On 27 minutes, Bayern's patience paid off in an opportunity, but Michael Olise's dipping shot was over the bar, and still the hosts looked for a response. Four minutes later, though they would be further aggrieved as João Neves appeared to have a handball in the area, but the referee waved it off.

Neves continued to be at the center of the action as he forced a fine save from Manuel Neuer with a glancing header (33') from Vitinha's free kick. From there, PSG returned Bayern's pressure in spades, forcing a series of corners, but couldn't make any of them tell. The next chance would fall to the hosts, a minute before the break, as Musiala cut inside and forced a low save from Matvey Safonov, but Dembélé's goal would separate the teams on the night at the interval.
The second half was a bit more cloak and dagger than the first, but both goalkeepers were put to work with some regularity. Neuer was tested twice in succession by Desiré Doué and Kvaratskhelia (56', 57') but the veteran proved up to the task, as he would again against the Frenchman seven minutes later. With twenty minutes to go, it was then Safonov's turn to make a pair of saves, keeping out first Luis Diaz (69') and then Olise.
In the match's final stages, the hosts would pull a goal back through Harry Kane, but would get no closer, and the capital side will next face Arsenal in the Champions League final on May 30 in Budapest.
