Desiré Doué will look to take his strong play for France into tonight's match against Toulouse

Having scored his third brace of the season—his first with France—Désiré Doué has extended an incredible winning run in matches where he has scored.

A "good luck charm"

Although he hasn't been spared by injuries this season (calf and hamstring), Désiré Doué has been a genuinely charmed presence for his teams whenever he takes to the pitch. Statistics had previously highlighted this phenomenon for Paris Saint-Germain, and now he has become one for Les Bleus as well after his double over the international break.

23 matches and counting...

Against Colombia (3-1), the Parisian forward found the net twice, extending his streak of consecutive victories—in matches where he has scored for both club and country—to 23 since the start of the 2024/25 season.

Désiré Doué (20 years and 9 months old) also became the youngest player to score a brace for France since Kylian Mbappé did so against Argentina on June 30, 2018, at the World Cup (at 19 years and 6 months)—making him the 10th player in the history of the French national team to achieve this feat. This performance was delivered on the occasion of his 6th international cap.

The best streaks of matches with a goal scored resulting in a 100% win rate:
1. Désiré Doué: 23 matches
2. Wesley Saïd: 12 matches
3. Goduine Koyalipou: 7 matches

Désiré Doué also tops this ranking among active players in Europe's top five leagues, ahead of Adrien Rabiot (15) —including 22 matches with PSG.

Prior to the international break, the Parisian had scored for the fifth time this season in Ligue 1 McDonald’s, doing so away at Nice (0-4). These five goals have directly translated into five victories for PSG (vs. Brest, Metz [twice], Paris FC, and Nice). Added to this are his goals in the Champions League league phase (4)—including two braces against Leverkusen and Monaco—which resulted in two victories for Luis Enrique's side. In his second season in Parisian colors, Doué scored in 10 top-flight matches, 5 Coupe de France ties, 6 Champions League fixtures, and 1 Club World Cup game. That makes 22 matches in total—and 100% wins! The Toulouse side—PSG's opponents tonight—have been warned...
