Marseille host Lyon on Sunday in the second "Olimpico" of the season. Here are ten key stats from the big clash of Matchday 24 of Ligue 1 McDonald's.
Olympique de Marseille has won each of its last three home matches against Lyon in Ligue 1 McDonald's, as many as in its previous 14 (3 wins, 6 draws, 5 losses). OM could secure four consecutive home victories against Lyon for just the third time, after 1952-1956 and 1993-1997 (four in each case).
There have been 40 draws between Marseille and Lyon in Ligue 1 McDonald's (32 wins for OM, 38 for OL). Only Marseille-Bordeaux matches (41) have ended in a draw more often in the history of the league. However, you have to go back to the 2020/21 season to find a draw between the two teams.
Olympique Lyonnais have lost only one of their last eight league matches (7 wins), but that was their most recent result, a 3-1 loss in Strasbourg.

OL have scored in each of their last eight Ligue 1 McDonald's matches; only RC Lens (13) and PSG (9) are currently on a longer streak.
Marseille are currently on a four-match winless run in Ligue 1 McDonald's (2 draws, 2 losses), their longest streak since March-April 2024 (5).
OM boasts the second-best home attack this season with 29 goals scored. Only PSG have done better with 30 goals at the Parc des Princes.

OM has conceded more than one goal in six of its 11 home league matches this season and could already equal its highest total of such matches in a Ligue 1 McDonald's campaign over the last 40 years (7 in 2018/19 and 2021/22).
Beaten in Strasbourg on the last matchday, OL has yet to suffer two consecutive away defeats this season.
Amine Gouiri has been involved in five goals in his last five Ligue 1 McDonald's matches against Lyon (3 goals, 2 assists). Only against Angers SCO (9) and FC Metz (8) has the Marseille striker been more decisive in the top flight (7 against Lyon).
With the likely absence due to injury of first-leg goalscorer Pavel Sulc (1-0, August 31), Corentin Tolisso is the only other current Lyon player to have already found the net against Marseille in Ligue 1. The French international midfielder notably scored in the last match between the two teams at the Orange Vรฉlodrome, on February 2, 2025 (3-2 for Marseille).
