Top-flight clubs arrive as the magic of the cup returns — 64 teams, 32 ties, upsets incoming!

The Coupe de France enters its second major phase tonight, as all 18 Ligue 1 clubs officially join the competition at the Round of 64 (32es de finale). The draw, held at the Parc des Princes, signals the annual return of France’s top flight — and with it, the storylines that define this competition: giant-killings, frozen pitches, packed village grounds and amateur dreams taking aim at professionals.

Ten clubs from Régional 1 and Régional 2 — the sixth and seventh tiers — remain alive at this stage, each just one win away from national attention.

Among the standout matchups, Olympique Lyonnais travel to sixth-tier FC Saint-Cyr Collonges Mont d’Or, while Paris Saint-Germain begin their campaign at home to Vendée Fontenay Foot. Olympique de Marseille face a tricky tie away at Bourg-en-Bresse, and OGC Nice will host Ligue 2 contenders Saint-Étienne in one of the round’s headline all-pro meetings.

From overseas, FC Le Gosier of Guadeloupe draw FC Lorient, with the Ligue 1 club permitted to move the match to mainland France.
