Emanuel Emegha scored a double in his first start since September.

There were big wins for Strasbourg, Metz and Angers this evening across Ligue 1 McDonald's -- catch up on all the multiplex action from Matchday 12.

RC Strasbourg 2-0 LOSC Lille

It was a fantastic evening at La Meinau for the hosts, with the club celebrating the reopening of their north stand after several long months of reconstruction. There was another reason to celebrate, though, as captain Emanuel Emegha was making his first start after a lengthy injury lay-off. And it was the Dutchman who proved to be the catalyst for the hosts, but not before a fine save by Mike Penders midway through the first half (23').

Ten minutes later, under pressure from Racing, Lille lost the ball which was played quickly for Emegha to put his side ahead with a one-touch finish (33'). After the break, the striker reacted quickly to a poor pass by Olivier Giroud to double the lead (62') and despite the sending off of Liam Rosenior moments later, Racing would hold on for a comfortable win that lifted them provisionally fourth.

FC Metz 2-1 OGC Nice

Playing at home, FC Metz continued their unlikely revival against OGC Nice. Facing an opponent coming off a midweek European trip and dealing with injuries, Les Grenats won their third straight match in the league, a result which lifts them out of the bottom three. Mohamed-Ali Cho had given Nice the lead in the first half, but a penalty from Gauthier Hein leveled the score after the break, before Habib Diallo scored for the second match in a row for Metz, sealing the win six minutes from time.

Angers SCO 2-0 AJ Auxerre

Another side moving out of the bottom three with a vital win was Angers, who have now lost just once in five matches following a thrashing at the hands of Strasbourg. Young attackers Sidiki Cherif and Prosper Peter both found the net for Le SCO, who will go into the November international break in 13th place, three points clear of the bottom three.
