Luis Enrique will look to lead PSG to another trophy tomorrow against Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Supercup

In what's already been a wildly successful 2025, Ligue 1 McDonald's champions Paris Saint-Germain will look to add another trophy: the UEFA Supercup. Get all you need to know about their clash with Tottenham Hotspur in our preview.

Chevalier to start already?

Less than a month on from taking part in the FIFA Club World Cup final, Paris Saint-Germain are moving more slowly than most of the sides in Ligue 1 McDonald's, having had a necessarily shorter preseason, and (until recently) not making the sort of bold splashes in the transfer market that much of their domestic competition has. That changed over the weekend, though, as the capital side signed first goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from LOSC Lille and then defender Illia Zabarnyi from FC Bournemouth in England.

While Zabarnyi only took part in his first session with his teammates yesterday, Chevalier looks to be in line to start tomorrow's encounter in Udine, with Gianluigi Donnarumma left out of the squad amid rumors of a likely departure. Aside from Chevalier, manager Luis Enrique is likely to deploy a familiar XI, with only the suspended João Neves not taking part. This strong side reflects plenty of ambition and also an eye towards the future in the Spaniard's estimation, something he reflected upon pre-match: "What we did last season was an achievement for everyone. We want to continue making history, that's our goal. Last year, I don't think anyone thought we were capable of winning the Champions League, but we did it. And for the future, we have even more dreams."

A big debut for Frank

As for Tottenham, their off-season has been similarly low-key, with Mohamed Kudus the only major arrival and Son-Heung Min's departure the sole one of note. Off the pitch, the club have turned to Thomas Frank, late of Brentford, to replace Ange Postecoglu on the bench, and the Dane has a tall order ahead of him as he makes his competitive debut with his new club.

He acknowledged as much as he spoke to the press pre-match, saying, "[Paris] are the best team in Europe. They won the treble and it looks like they are extremely strong in all 11 starting positions. It's a fantastic challenge to have in the first game but, of course, we believe in ourselves. We don't see it as a test; we see it as two good teams against each other, and we want to win."

Will PSG's lack of a real preseason unsettle them, or will they continued their marked dominance? Be sure to watch tomorrow's match to find out if Les Parisiens can secure another trophy.

Paris Saint-Germain (4-3-3): Chevalier; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Zaïre-Emery, Vitinha, Fabián Ruiz; Doué, Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia
