Morton joins the latest wave of English and British players choosing Ligue 1 McDonald's to make their senior breakthrough. Already this summer has seen CJ Egan-Riley move to Marseille where he joins fellow compatriots Angel Gomes, Jonathan Rowe, and Mason Greenwood.
Racing Club de Strasbourg have also attracted their fair share of talent from the Premier League with Sam Amo-Ameyaw making his move to Alsace permanent and fellow Englishman Ishé Samuels-Smith joining on loan from Chelsea. Angel Gomes and Charlie Cresswell have already proved their worth in Ligue 1 McDonald's after moving over the channel.
Morton has had successful loan spells at EFL Championship side Blackburn Rovers and Hull City before opting to move to France and join Olympique Lyonnais.
