The Denmark international moved from SK Sturm Graz to AS Monaco and between January and March he recorded 12 goals and two assists, playing a major role in Monaco securing Champions League football for a second straight season.
After nearly a decade's worth of uneven seasons abroad, Ousmane Dembélé was impressive indeed in netting 21 goals in Ligue 1 McDonald's. Along with helping his club to the final of both the Champions League and the Coupe de France, he also helped the capital side comfortably capture the league title by an impressive nineteen-point margin.

Amine Gouiri's arrival from Stade de Rennais was perhaps the key element of Olympique de Marseille's run in the second half. He netted ten goals and three assists in just twelve starts, being one of Ligue 1 McDonald's most prolific scorers in the season's second half. With 74 goals this season, only Paris Saint-Germain did better as a team, and Gouiri's impetus was key despite a shorter spell.
