Noah Edjouma is the youngest player to have scored for Toulouse FC this season

Noah Edjouma (Toulouse FC) opened his Ligue 1 McDonald's account on the occasion of his first appearance in the top flight (2-2 in Auxerre), a first for a player from Les Violets since Thijs Dallinga against OGC Nice on August 7, 2022.

At 19 years and 128 days, he is the 2nd youngest scorer for TFC in Ligue 1 McDonald's since the club's promotion in 2022/23, after Christian Mawissa against Reims on February 4, 2024 (18 years and 292 days).

Speaking post-match to the press, Edjouma emphasized that the goal was, for him, the product of plenty of hard work, saying, "Up until now, my journey has been really tough. I didn’t always have the physical conditioning needed to play in Ligue 1. But I kept fighting, worked twice as hard, and now it’s paying off."

However, the Pitchoune is not among the top 10 of the ranking of the youngest scorers of the season in the top flight (11th). Just like the ten youngest players to have played at least one minute this season, starting with the youngest Djylian N’Guessan (AS St-Etienne), who made his debut at 16 years and 127 days against Reims. The Sainté midfielder has so far made 5 appearances for 81 minutes of playing time.

Guirassy still the youngest scorer of the season; Maupay is fifth all-time.

The youngest scorer remains Nantes’ Herba Guirassy who scored in his second appearance during Matchday 2 (also against Auxerre): making him the only scorer under 18 after 22 rounds of play matches. And while most of the youngest scorers of al time have long since retired, having made their names in the 1960s and before, there is one precocious player on the list who recently made a return to France, in the form of Olympique de Marseille striker Neal Maupay. Maupay was just 16 years, four months and one day when he scored for OGC Nice against Evian in 2012, making him the fifth-youngest scorer of all time.

Other familiar names in the top list include Warren Zaïre-Emery (16 years, 10 months, 4 days) French international Eduardo Camavinga (17 years, one month, four days) and of course Kylian Mbappé (17 years, two months).
