A new and old face has arrived at LOSC Lille. The club announced on Friday that it had secured the services of Thomas Meunier. A vastly experienced Belgium international (66 caps), the right back will surely be familiar to fans of Paris Saint-Germain, having played for the capital side from 2016-2020, amassing three Ligue 1 titles in that span, as well as five cup titles and a run to the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2020. He'll join Lille's new manager, Bruno Génésio, as they look to navigate the playoffs of that competition in a fortnight's time, bringing his vast experience back to Ligue 1 after spells with Borussia Dortmund and Trabzonspor.

Olympique de Marseille have also announced a new player, bringing striker Mason Greenwood on board from Manchester United. Also a senior international, having played once for his country, the 22-year-old spent last season on loan with Spanish side Getafe, scoring eight goals.
While these two players can look forward to entertaining fans of Ligue 1 this year, a few familair faces have also bid the league goodbye recently. Just as Marseille welcomed Greenwood, they saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang depart, following an impressive season in which the Gabon international propelled them to the semifinals of the Europa League. In Lille, too, as Meunier arrives, Génésio will have to do without another defender, Leny Yoro, who has upped sticks for Manchester United. Elsewhere in the league, defender Mattia Viti has left OGC Nice for a return to Italy, while Thijs Dallinga has done the same in signing for Bologna from Toulouse FC and Martin Terrier has moved from Stade Rennais to join Xabi Alonso's ambitious Bayer Leverkusen.
