More and more clubs are seeing the return of players back for pre-season, with Ligue 1 sides kicking off their pre-season preparations both at home and abroad. Let's take a look at last weekend's friendly results.

As pre-season starts to get underway, Ligue 1 sides are starting to test their metal in early pre-season fixtures. Big wins came for Lyon and Lens, whilst Strasbourg suffered a defeat to Jose Mourinho's Fenerbachce and Monaco were held by sister club Cercle Brugge. See below how Ligue 1 clubs got on this weekend.

Monaco 1-1 Cercle Brugge

Adi Hütter's side began preparations with a loss to Servette last week, and faced sister club Cercle Brugge in a friendly this week. Golovin captained a Monégasque side that had to come from a goal down to equalise through Thilo Kehrer, after Kevin Denkey opened the scoring from the penalty spot.

Olympique Lyonnais 7-0 Chassieu-Décines

Les Gones began their pre-season preparations in ideal fashion, as Pierre Sage's side raced into a seven-goal lead thanks to goals from Lepenant, Orban, Perret, Baldé, and a debut brace for Enzo Molebe.

RC Lens 6-0 Red Star

Will Still's first game in charge of the Sang & Or ended in a convincing victory against newly-promoted Ligue 2 side Red Star. Elye Wahi raced to hatrick within 24 minutes, before goals were added by Saïd, Guulavogui, and Fulgini.

Strasbourg 0-4 Fenerbahce

Patrick Vieira's side faced Jose Mourinho's Fenerbachce at home, but goals from Szymanski, Tadic, Kent, and Dzeko would seal the loss for RCSA.
