The first half between these two sides nearly went scoreless, but in the 45th minute, Mathias Pereira Lage broke the scoreless deadlock. Brest went into the dressing room with the momentum on their side, but the second half proved chaotic.
Les Pirates extended their lead to 2-0 following an own goal from the second-division side. Brest was in control, but the wheels began to fall off in the 65th minute as Dunkerque mounted a comeback.
On a well-executed corner by Naatan Skyttä, Vincent Sasso rises at the far post to head the ball into the net past a beaten Grégoire Coudert.
After another corner taken by Skyttä, Yacine Bammou recovered the ball at the far post and backheeled it for Opa Sanganté, who dove to push it into the Brest goal to level the scoring two-all.
Four minutes later, Dunkerque shocked Brest scoring the go-ahead goal to take a 3-2 lead. After a free kick into the box, Gaëtan Courtet headed it to Sanganté, who controlled it well and then delivered an unstoppable left-footed shot past Coudert.
The Ligue 2 BKT side pulled off an upset, and for the first time since 1929, they will play in a Coupe de France semifinal.
The Championnat National 2 side had a challenging night as they conceded a goal in the 16th minute. Stade Briochin held firm, but they couldn't keep PSG off the score sheet as Gonçalo Ramos scored to make the contest 2-0.
After the halftime break, the scoring floodgates opened for PSG and at the heart of it was Désiré Doué with three goal contributions. Ramos scored on a penalty kick to begin the onslaught of goals.
Then, Doué scored in the 55th minute and proceeded to record an assist on the goals scored by Ramos and Senny Mayulu. PSG didn't stop their goal-scoring there as Ousmane Dembélé added the fifth goal of the second half in the 66th minute.
Only two Ligue 1 McDonald's clubs have reached the Coupe de France semifinals in a single edition for the first time since the 2017-18 season.
