Multiplex Recap: Lacazette Records Hat-Trick and More!

There was plenty of thrilling action in Ligue 1's multiplex slot. Did you miss any of the action? Here's a recap of everything that occurred.

Olympique Lyonnais 4-1 OGC Nice

Alexandre Lacazette set the tone early for an impressive contest by the veteran attacker. Lacazette scored in the fourth minute to give OL the early lead over Nice, but Franck Haise and his team responded with a goal in the ninth minute, but after a VAR review, the goal was ruled out.

Despite having their goal waved off, Nice did find the back of the net to level the scoring in the 22nd minute thanks to a goal from Sofiane Diop. The game was about to head into halftime with both sides tied 1-1, but Lyon had other plans.

Pierre Sage and his team scored twice in three minutes with Lacazette recording a brace in the 41st minute to give OL a 2-1 advantage. In the 43rd minute, Jordan Veretout scored to give Les Gones a 3-1 lead heading into the break.

Nice believed that they had a penalty kick chance that would allow them to cut into Lyon's lead, but VAR confirmed that there was no penalty in the 49th minute. In the 67th minute, OL was awarded a penalty kick after a VAR review with Lacazette converting from the spot to seal his hat-trick and give the home side a 4-1 win.

Toulouse 2-0 Auxerre

In a tightly contested match, Les Violets did all their scoring in the first half in the span of seven minutes to allow the home side to secure all three points. The first Toulouse goal came in the 32nd minute courtesy of a strike from Joshua King, and then in the 39th minute, Vincent Sierro converted a penalty kick shot to make the scoreline 2-0.

The win was crucial for Toulouse as the three points put them back in the race for a European competition spot for next season and the loss for AJ Auxerre keeps them outside the top six.

Angers SCO 1-0 Le Havre

In another tightly contested match, Angers secured all three points to move out of the bottom three. The lone goal in the game came in the 63rd minute courtesy of a strike from Himad Abdelli and Angers was able to hold onto their lead for the victory.
