Mbappé, Kurzawa, Nene, Rothen, Djorkaeff, Weah and now Akliouche. Join the Ligue 1 McDonald's team as we look at some of the biggest names to have moved from the Principality to the capital.
The most successful player at either club for his time at Paris Saint-Germain, Mbappé's €180M move to return to his native Paris was a smash success. After winning a shock Ligue 1 McDonald's crown with the Rouge et Blanc, his eight seasons in Paris yielded twelve major titles, with a World Cup with France thrown in for good measure.
Before there was Mbappé in the QSI era, there was Kurzawa. The epitome of a modern fullback, his eagerness to attack and powerful style earned him plenty of admirers. After joining PSG for €23M, he showed flashes of his talent, but struggled to displace Maxwell as first-choice, before injuries took their toll.
Still playing at the age of 45 in his home country of Brazil, Nenê made the best of his time in the French capital after an uneven tenure in Monaco that saw him loaned out at one point. In Paris, though, he was a force with which to be reckoned, winning a pair of spots in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year and finishing the 2011-12 season as top scorer.

A key figure in Monaco's legendary run to the 2004 Champions League final, Rothen's dreams were fulfilled that summer when he returned to his native Paris. Over the next six seasons, he was a key figure in a pair of Coupe de France triumphs while also winning more than a dozen caps for France.
Plucked by Monaco from Strasbourg (then in the second tier) in 1990, Djorkaeff was instrumental in winning the Coupe de France under Arsene Wenger, while establishing himself as a regular for Les Bleus. His one season in Paris saw the capital side win the Cupwinners' Cup before an impressive run with Inter Milan.
After a hugely impressive four-season spell with Les Monegasques, Weah headed north and his star shone even more brightly, winning every domestic trophy with PSG as well as winning the Ballon d'Or in his final year in the French capital.
