Just hours after retaining their European crown, Paris Saint-Germain returned to the French capital and celebrated their achievement with the city on Sunday.

PSG wrapped up their second Champions League title thanks to a win over Arsenal on penalties (0-0, 4-3 pens.) on Saturday evening. The flares lit up behind Matvey Safonov as Gabriel missed the decisive spot-kick.

The party had started and it went long into the night, celebrated with the thousands that had travelled out to Budapest, Hungary to support them. But in scale, it had nothing on the celebration that was witnessed on the streets of Paris on Sunday, as they welcomed back their heroes.

Before the PSG delegation had even got to the Champ-de-Mars, where the celebrations would begin, thousands of scooters followed the team bus into the city.

The players, once they arrived, made their way up the Champ-de-Mars and towards the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the iconic monument that sits in the middle of PSG's crest. Players and staff danced with the trophy on their way towards the podium, where it was once again held aloft, just as it was in front of the Arc-de-Triomphe last summer.
"In two years, France, thanks to PSG, did what it failed to do in 70 years: win two [European] titles. You are the pride of Paris and of the whole of France [...] long live Paris, long live PSG, long live France," said Emmanuel Macron, who celebrated with Les Parisiens.

But PSG's players weren't home quite yet, even if it was only a short trip to the Parc des Princes. One by one, the players emerged from the tunnel and onto a podium erected in the middle of the pitch, surrounded by packed stands on each side.

The club's iconic "Tous ensemble on chantera" chant reverberated around their stadium, as the ceremony concluded with "One More Time" by Daft Punk. They did it again. Ousmane Dembรฉlรฉ said that they're going for the back-to-back-to-back, a sentiment echoed by Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Luis Campos. "One more time, we're gonna celebrate," goes the lyric by the famous French duo; maybe next year they will once more.
