Paris Saint-Germain delivered a composed, dominant display away at Angers, moving a step closer to the Ligue 1 title while building momentum ahead of their Champions League semi-final.

Paris Saint-Germain tightened their grip on the Ligue 1 title race with a controlled 3-0 victory over Angers, combining efficiency with authority at the Stade Raymond-Kopa. The Parisians imposed themselves early and never looked in danger, delivering a performance that reflected both their depth and growing momentum at a decisive stage of the campaign.

The visitors struck inside the opening exchanges through Lee Kang-In, who reacted quickest after an initial effort from Achraf Hakimi to round the goalkeeper and slot into an empty net. From there, PSG dictated the tempo with authority, suffocating Angers through their dominance of possession and control in midfield.

Their superiority was rewarded again before the break as Senny Mayulu continued his emergence with a composed finish, meeting a well-weighted pass from Lucas Beraldo and firing low across goal. The move encapsulated PSG’s fluidity, with their youthful energy and technical precision proving too much for the hosts to contain.

Any lingering doubt over the result was removed early in the second half when Beraldo turned scorer, rising to meet Lee’s corner and guiding a header beyond the goalkeeper. At 3-0, the contest became an exercise in control, with PSG managing the tempo and limiting Angers to minimal opportunities throughout.

Angers briefly thought they had found a route back into the match when Amine Sbai converted in the first half, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside. It proved a frustrating evening for the home side, who struggled to break down PSG’s structure and managed just a single shot on target across the 90 minutes.

There was a late setback for the visitors as Gonçalo Ramos was sent off after receiving a second yellow card, but it did little to disrupt PSG’s control or the overall narrative of the match. The Parisians remained comfortable, seeing out the closing stages with professionalism.

'Almost perfect performance' - Luis Enrique

PSG manager Luis Enrique offered his assesment following the game:

“I think the result is fair. It was a difficult match, with the conditions – the sun, the wind – but we played with focus and stayed in the game. I am very happy with what I saw. We are in a very good moment. Whatever the team, whatever the players, we are performing and playing in the same way.”

“It’s an almost perfect moment in this final part of the championship, with the Champions League semi-finals ahead. We are ready, we want to enjoy this moment. All of us in Paris are ready. We want to play this semi-final against one of the best teams in Europe right now, but we are the champions and we want to start that match strongly.”
