Paris Saint-Germain returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion, easing past FC Nantes 3-0 at the Parc des Princes to extend their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to four points.
Still with a game in hand against RC Lens, the capital club tightened their grip on the title race thanks to a brace from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and a stunning strike from Désiré Doué.
Luis Enrique’s side started on the front foot and were rewarded early on when a VAR review penalised a handball in the Nantes box. Kvaratskhelia stepped up and confidently dispatched the resulting penalty to give PSG the lead.
Nantes attempted to respond and even had the ball in the net midway through the first half, only for the effort to be ruled out for offside. That proved a turning point as PSG quickly reasserted control.
Just before the break, PSG found their second—and in spectacular fashion. A flowing move involving Achraf Hakimi ended with Doué unleashing a powerful effort from a tight angle that flew into the top corner, leaving Anthony Lopes with no chance. The goal gave PSG a comfortable 2-0 lead heading into half-time, reflecting their superiority despite Nantes’ occasional threat.
Any hopes of a Nantes comeback were extinguished early in the second half. Kvaratskhelia produced a moment of individual brilliance, gliding past his marker before calmly finishing to make it 3-0 and complete his brace.
PSG continued to dominate proceedings, with further chances falling to their attacking players, while Matvey Safonov ensured a clean sheet with a composed display in goal.
With this victory, PSG move four points clear at the top of the table, with a crucial game in hand still to come against second-placed Lens. It marks an ideal response to their recent setback against Olympique Lyonnais and maintains momentum ahead of a busy run of fixtures. For Nantes, the defeat leaves them firmly embroiled in the relegation battle, with improvements needed quickly to secure their Ligue 1 status.
