In Matchday 29's two multiplex matches, LOSC stole a march in the race for third with a big win over Toulouse, while Nice and Le Havre battled to a draw. Catch up on all the latest from around Ligue 1 McDonald's with our recap.
In a match in which the hosts had Mark McKenzie sent off early in the second half, Les Violets never had a chance as Lille romped to their fourth straight Ligue 1 McDonald's win. Once again, Bruno Génésio showed his tactical flexibility with Matiás Fernandez-Pardo starting in attack, and veteran Olivier Giroud on the bench. The young Belgian has been mightily impressive of late, with three goals and two assists in his last four in the league, and his strike in the second half was one of four goals scored by Les Dogues.
Lille had put Toulouse under pressure from the off, with Guillaume Restes making several saves (10', 16') early doors before Thomas Meunier finally broke their resistance on 23 minutes, the veteran slamming the ball in at the near post after a misplayed clearance. Into the second half, after McKenzie was sent off for a last-man foul, the match became something of a procession, with Romain Perraud scoring from a free kick (50') before Fernández-Pardo added a third five minutes later after being found by Benjamin André at the edge of the area (55').
He might have even had a brace after a one-on-one on the counter, but Restes did well to come off his line and prevent his chipped effort going in. Two minutes from time, Giroud would score from the penalty spot, making the final margin 4-0 as Les Dogues racked up a big win to go third ahead of a home match against OGC Nice next weekend.

In the evening's other match, Nice and Le Havre battled to a one-all draw that saw them each pick up an agreeable point as they edged closer to confirming their places in the top flight for next season. Mbwana Samatta opened the scoring with a fine but of skill, controlling the ball and scoring on the turn, before the hosts leveled the match just before the hour through Ali Abdi. With the draw Le Havre and Nice are now ten and nine points respectively above Nantes in the bottom two.
