Multiplex: Endrick hits first career hat-rick as Lyon shine and Toulouse prevail

Sunday’s Ligue 1 McDonald’s multiplex delivered goals, drama and high stakes across three venues, with Olympique Lyonnais producing a statement win in Metz, Toulouse strengthening their European ambitions in Brest, and Paris FC and Angers cancelling each other out in a tense relegation battle.

Lyon were the headline act at Stade Saint-Symphorien, where Endrick stole the show with a superb hat-trick in a thrilling 5-2 victory over bottom side Metz. The Brazilian forward, on loan from Real Madrid, opened the scoring early before Lyon raced into a commanding lead through Justin Kluivert and a powerful strike from Tyler Morton. Metz briefly reignited the contest via Kouao and Diallo, but Lyon’s attacking quality proved too strong, with Endrick adding a second before the break and completing his treble from the penalty spot late on.

Toulouse win, Paris & Angers play out stalemate

In Brittany, Toulouse claimed a composed 2-0 win away to Brest, continuing their steady rise up the table. Demba broke the deadlock with a long-range effort midway through the first half before Gboho doubled the lead just before the interval. Brest pushed forward after the break, but Toulouse remained disciplined at the back and saw out the game comfortably to collect three valuable points.

The evening’s third fixture saw Paris FC and Angers share a goalless draw at Stade Jean-Bouin. Both sides had moments, with Paris FC twice striking the woodwork, but a lack of cutting edge in the final third ensured neither could find a breakthrough. The result leaves both teams still looking over their shoulders in the relegation fight.
