After their exit in the Coupe de France at the expense of rivals Paris FC earlier this week, PSG returned to winning ways against Lille OSC at the Parc des Princes (3-0) on Friday night.
Les Parisiens came into this one knowing that a win over Bruno Génésio's side would be enough to provisionally take them back top of Ligue 1 McDonald's. And it didn't take long for Luis Enrique's men to take the lead, despite LOSC making the more lively start to the headline fixture. In the 13th minute, Ousmane Dembélé controlled and then finished with his left foot. It was the start of an excellent display from the Ballon d'Or winner, who was incisive, tidy, and decisive.

The France international then doubled his tally for the night in the 64th minute. This goal was much more spectacular than his first as he picked up the ball, dinked left to eliminate a LOSC defender, before then pulling off an audacious lob on Berke Ozer, who had found himself in no-man's land. It has been an injury-hit season for Dembélé thus far, but he looked in the mood to make up for lost time tonight.
Having hit the front early, the reigning Ligue 1 McDonald's and European champions always looked in control of this fixture, but they would add a third before the final whistle through substitute Bradley Barcola (90+3').

"It is important to win, but we had a lot of problems. Lille played very well, and it was very difficult at the start of the match," admitted Luis Enrique post-match.
LOSC remain winless in 2026, having lost against Stade Rennais in the league and then against Olympique Lyonnais in the Coupe de France. PSG, meanwhile, have put the pressure back on Pierre Sage's men. Les Sang et Or will have to respond with a win against AJ Auxerre on Saturday if they are to reclaim top spot in Ligue 1 McDonald's.
THE STAT: 100
Against a contender for European football, this was a big night for PSG in the scheme of the season. However, it was also a big night for their manager, Luis Enrique. By beating Les Dogues, the former Barcelona and Spain manager registered his 100th victory on the PSG bench. In that time, the Spaniard has also registered 27 draws and 20 defeats. It is not merely the wins but the trophies that they have brought, with PSG winning the league in both of his seasons at the club.
