Paris FC striker Jean-Philippe scored a crucial goal in Côte d'Ivoire's 3-2 win

Join us as we run the rule over the final day of the group stages at AFCON 2025, seeing what the stars of Ligue 1 McDonald's were up to in Morocco.

Gabon 2-3 Côte d'Ivoire

Despite the absence of Marseille striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gabon were first out of the blocks against the defending champions. With goals by Guelor Kanga and former Ligue 1 winger Denis Bouanga, the Panthers were up 2-0 inside 20 minutes. Côte d'Ivoire showed plenty of character, though, with Paris FC striker Jean-Philippe Krasso pulling back a goal just before the break before strikes from Evann Guessand and Bazoumana Touré late on sealed a win that helped them top Group F.

Sudan 0-2 Burkina Faso

In Group E, FC Lorient left back Arsene Kouassi scored Les Etalons' second goal -- the first for his country -- in a vital win. With the three points, Burkina Faso finished second to advance to the knockout rounds this weekend, with Hervé Koffi (Angers) keeping a clean sheet.

Mozambique 1-2 Cameroon

Looking to continue their momentum after recording a first-ever AFCON win, Mozambique took an early lead against Cameroon, but the Indomitable Lions roared back to secure second place in Group F. Franck Magri (Toulouse FC) and Danny Namaso (Auxerre) were both in the eleven, while Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe (Brest) came off the bench to make his first appearance of the tournament.

Equatorial Guinea 1-3 Algeria

Having already topped Group E, Algeria fielded a somewhat weakened side and from Ligue 1 McDonald's, only Himad Abdelli of Angers was in the eleven from the off, with Ilan Kebbal (Paris FC) and Aissa Mandi (LOSC) coming off the bench. Former Toulouse FC winner Fares Chaibi scored Algeria's second, and they were up 3-0 at the break, making the result all but academic.
