Former LOSC striker Victor Osimhen netted for Nigeria in their 3-2 win over Tunisia

Here's a Ligue 1 McDonald's-focused look back Saturday's action at the Africa Cup of Nations -- catch up on all four matches from Morocco.

Nigeria 3-2 Tunisia

The Super Eagles and the Eagles of Carthage staged a thrilling encounter in Group C in Fez. While no current Ligue 1 players were in the eleven for the victors, Moses Simon of Paris FC and Chidozie Awaziem (FC Nantes) both came off the bench. As for Tunisia, FC Lorient defender Montassar Talbi and OGC Nice's Ali Abdi both started and were on the scoresheet, but their contributions were ultimately in vain as they came as a futile comeback effort from three goals down.

Former Ligue 1 players would have a deciding role in the outcome, though, with Victor Osimhen netting Nigeria's third goal, having started alongside Akor Adams in attack. With the win, Nigeria sealed their place in the knockout rounds ahead of playing Uganda, while Tunisia will face Tanzania on Tuesday with progression on the line.

Senegal 1-1 DR Congo

In Group D, two of Africa's top teams faced each other having won their opening matches, and left with a one-all draw that allows each to retain hope of topping the group. The Lions of Teranga again deployed a defence heavy on the players of Ligue 1 McDonald's, with Moussa Niakahté (Olympique Lyonnais) and Krépin Diatta (AS Monaco) both in the eleven. DR Congo had the Lille duo of Chancel Mbemba and Ngal'Ayel Mukau in their own lineup, and the match proved a tense battle, with former FC Metz winger Sadio Mané cancelling out an opener by Cédric Bakambu on the hour.

In the day's other two matches, Benin beat Botswana 1-0 with Steve Mounié, late of Brest, setting up the match's only goal. In the other Group C match, Uganda and Tanzania battled to a one-all draw that allows each side to harbor hope of progress, with Le Havre's Mbwana Samatta coming off the bench for the Taifa Stars.
