PSG left it late to beat a stubborn OGC Nice side and retain their place atop the Ligue 1 McDonald's table.
It was a containment job from Franck Haise's men, and it was throughout. The Nice manager put out a defensive-minded side, although his team did remain ambitious in transitional moments.
Les Parisiens had an incredible 77% possession and made over 800 passes in match that they dominated from start to finish. Bradley Barcola had a big chance to PSG after the home side forced a high turnover, but the France international could not beat Yehvann Diouf (39').
However, against the run of play, it was Les Aiglons who had the best chance of the half. It was Juma Bah, on loan from Manchester City who popped up at the back post. His header would have beaten Lucas Chevalier, but it didn't beat Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was well placed on the line (32').
The backs-to-the-wall job continued heading into the second-half. If Nice were to get anything, it would be a smash-and-grab, and it was exactly what Haise was playing for. But unlike in the first-half, the big chance never came.
Instead, it was one-way traffic. Joao Neves (53') saw a shot slide just inches wide, a long-range Vitinha effort (68') stung the palms of Diouf, as did a header from substitute Goncalo Ramos (80').
The barrage increased in intensity as the final whilst neared. Boxes were swung in with increased frequency, but Kojo Peprah Oppong, Antoine Mendy, and Bah held firm, that was until the final second.

PSG may have thought that the chance to win had escaped them when Ramos' excellent header was tipped over from Diouf (90+4'). But from the resulting corner, PSG did get their goal, turning their statistical dominance into three points.
Lee Kang-in's corner was flicked on at the near post and found Ramos unmarked around the penalty spot. The Portuguese forward had missed a couple of chances after coming off the bench, but he didn't miss his final and ultimately most important one.
It is a goal that not only secured the three points, it also keeps Les Parisiens top of the Ligue 1 McDonald's table. "We definitely deserved the win [...] scoring in the last minute is very important for us and shows our mentality," reacted Luis Enrique, whose attention now shifts towards an important Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich in midweek, as the reigning champions look to maintain their unbeaten record in that competition.
Ramos is something of a good omen for PSG. The Ligue 1 McDonald's champions have never lost a match in which the Portugal forward has scored. It was his 100th game for Les Parisiens and in the matches in which he has scored, the club have won 24 games and drawn another seven.
