Another match between Paris Saint-Germain and LOSC Lille, another thrilling encounter to end the Ligue 1 McDonald's matchday, as the hosts struck late to deny the leaders the chance to pull three points clear ahead of the international break. Catch up on all the action with our report.

A makeshift PSG to start

This was never going to be an easy encounter for the capital side, even if the hosts had also been in midweek action. Ahead of the match, it was revealed that Luis Enrique's side had an even longer list of absences -- Fabian Ruiz and João Neves were both ruled out, and a first professional start was handed to young midfielder Quentin Ndjantou. Lille would be without only defender Alexsandro, and with fewer of their players slated for international duty, were able to name a similarly strong eleven to the side that beaten Roma in the week.

The early stages of the match would see this callow eleven control the ball well, however, with Gonçalo Ramos -- the hero against Barcelona in the Champions League -- and Bradley Barcola linking well. Despite having much of the ball, PSG struggled to break down the hosts' defence, with Nathan Ngoy making several key interventions. Indeed, the best chance of the half might have even fallen to Les Dogues, as Lucas Hernandez had to be at his best to clear the ball away from Thomas Meunier (32').

Nuno's moment of brilliance gives way to Mbappé's equalizer

After the break, PSG continued to be in the ascendancy, and in the Lille goal, Berke Özer had to be sharp to keep out a curling effort by Barcola just before the hour. He could do nothing, however, about Nuno Mendes' stunning free kick, as the Portugal international found the top corner with just more than twenty minutes to play, giving his side the lead.

It looked as if it would stay that way, until Ethan Mbappé, who had been the hero with a winner against Toulouse a month ago, popped up with a equalizer with just five minutes less, knotting the score against his former club at one-all. With the result, PSG move a point clear of a trio of teams on fifteen points, while Lille sit seventh, two points behind derby rivals Lens on 11.

The Stat: 9
