After a sterling start to the week in Europe in the Champions League, four Ligue 1 McDonald's sides are in action tomorrow across the Europa League and Conference League -- here's our preview of all the action.
Despite each side being a regular participant in European competition, Les Dogues have never faced i Lupi in a competitive match. While Bruno Génésio's side will make history tomorrow at the Stade-Pierre Mauroy, they'll be more importantly looking to build on what's been a strong start to the season, last weekend's narrow loss to Lyon aside. Summer signing Olivier Giroud (three goals) has hit the ground running, and even if defender Alexsandro will be missed, the hosts should have enough for their second consecutive win in this competition.
Prediction: LOSC Lille 2-1 AS Roma
Based on the evidence of Liverpool's defeat away to Galatasaray, a trip to Istanbul should never be taken for granted, even if the hosts are still trying to find their footing after the departure of Jose Mourinho. Given Nice's start to the season (just two wins in nine competitive fixtures), they're unlikely to offer stiff opposition, but injuries could yet be telling for the hosts, who will miss Jhon Duran and Emre Mor among others. With former Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar still in the mix, it's unreasonable to expect the hosts to be pushovers, either -- look for a closely-fought affair
Prediction: Fenerbahce 1-0 OGC Nice

After an mightily impressive second half to last season in Ligue 1 McDonald's, RC Strasbourg are back in Europe for just the second time since winning promotion. They'll face Slovan Bratislava away in their first Conference League match. Liam Rosenior's side is exceptionally young, but given their only losses this season have been against top sides Monaco and Marseille (and even then to stoppage time goals), they look well-equipped to navigate Europe's third-tier competition, even with key strikers Emanuel Emegha and Joaquín Panichelli unavailable.
Prediction: Slovan Bratislava 1-2 RC Strasbourg
Lyon have quietly faced down just about every challenge they've faced this season, including a massively depleted squad following a summer of catching up to financial pressures. Absent the formidable trio of Rayan Cherki, Alexandre Lacazette and Georges Mikautadze, Lyon have remodeled themselves as a defensively sound yet opportunistic unit, blending developing talent with veteran guile - the perfect equation to face down a young Salzburg side that also is dealing with a raft of departures.
Prediction: Olympique Lyonnais 1-0 RB Salzburg
