Paris FC salvaged a late draw against OGC Nice, with Jean-Philippe Krasso's penalty cancelling Sofiane Diop's first-half opener (1-1).
Both sides came into this game with an identical record - two wins, three losses. It shouldn't come as any surprise that little separated the sides in terms of quality. Paris FC started the game slowly, by Stéphane Gilli's own admission, but thereafter, they grew into the game.
The first major chance fell to Les Parisiens. Yehvann Diouf's ball out was intercepted by Pierre Lees-Melou, who found Moses Simon. Diouf gratefully gathered the Nigerian's poorly struck effort.
It was a let-off, and one off which Nice would capitalise six minutes later. Mohamed-Ali Cho, in his first Ligue 1 McDonald's start of the season, was allowed to drift inside. Diop was allowed to drift, too, straight past the static Paris FC defence, before dinking past Obed Nkambadio.
The France youth international then made an excellent save on the stroke of half-time. Jonathan Clauss came steaming in at the back post and caught his volley sweetly, however, Nkambadio made an excellent save with his feet to keep the deficit to just one goal.
In the second-half, it was the away side that seized the control of the match. Diouf was forced into a smart save from Willem Geubbels, whose rebound was then turned around the post by Kojo Peprah Oppong.
Paris FC continued to push and, despite their possession, it was in more transitional moments that they looked more dangerous. Ilan Kebbal was offered space to run into, but with just Moise Bombito to beat before bearing down on goal, his sloppy touch across the defender saw him easily dispossessed.
However, Paris FC insisted and kept pushing for the equaliser. It was offered from a banal ball into the box, which caught the hand of Bombito. Les Parisiens' lapped up the opportunity, with Krasso finishing the resulting penalty, leaving Diouf rooted to the spot.

Having been pegged back, Nice were revived in the final stages. Isak Jansson saw a glanced header well saved by Nkambadio, and in the final seconds, the Paris FC goalkeeper was given a scare, as Clauss' free-kick beat everyone, flashing inches wide of his far-post.
But Paris FC held on to secure the draw. "I think the draw is deserved. It shows the character of this team," said Gilli post-match.
It is a draw that means that both teams still have identical records, with a draw now added to the two wins and one draw. "Beyond a frustrating result, I think we need more quality to create more chances," reacted Franck Haise post-match.
Paris FC have now conceded at least one goal in their last 10 away matches in all competitions. It is their longest un since March-September 2014. On that occasion, the run was cut at nine games.
