Monaco pair feature as Senegal edge DR Congo

AS Monaco pair Lamine Camara and Krépin Diatta featured as Senegal managed to edge out DR Congo in an entertaining 3-2 win on Tuesday afternoon. Former Marseille man Cedric Bakambu opened the scoring for DR Congo, before the hosts doubled their lead through former Lorient man Yoanne Wissa. Senegal then made their fightback through Gueye, Jackson, and Pape Matar Sarr in the 87th minute to see the The Lions of Teranga grab the three points.

Montpellier man Dimitry Bertaud started between the sticks for Congo, as Saint-Étienne's Dylan Batubinsika also featured in the back line for the hosts. FC Metz striker Cheikh Sabaly came off the bench to feature also for Senegal.

Moses Simon features in Nigeria draw vs South Africa

The Super Eagles qualification campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup was dented by a draw with South Africa, as Paris FC's Moses Simon featured once again in the starting XI. Calvin Bassey opened the scoring before an own goal saw the visitors claim a point and increase their lead at the top of qualifying Group C.

Gabon and Ivory Coast play out goalless draw

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his Gabon side could not find a way through to beat 2024 AFCON winners Ivory Coast. Several Ligue 1 McDonald's talents had involvement off the bench with Toulouse's Shavy Babicka and Monaco's Wilfried Singo coming on respectively, but a point means as you were for qualification: one point separates the two nations in Group F who are clear ahead the rest of the chasing pack in their quest to head to the United States next summer.
