It was goals galore all around during this weekend's multiplex action, as Paris FC earned their first win in Ligue 1 McDonald's in their first-ever game at Stade Jean Bouin - with star performances from Maxime Lopez and Ilan Kebbal. Two minutes of madness at Monaco saw Strasbourg claw back a two-goal deficit, but Minamino provided a late, late winner.. Meanwhile, Le Havre managed to grab their first win of the season as Nice fell to their second defeat in a row.
Les Parisiens made their grand return home in Ligue 1 McDonald's for the first time in 46 years, and it was the first game for PFC at Stade Jean Bouin and in the presence of Red Bull sporting director Jurgen Klopp. But it was the away side that opened the scoring when Guathier Hien swung in a corner for Sadibou Sané volley home for the visitors (21').
But it was Illan Kebbal who managed to earn a penalty, before converting it to score Paris FC's first-ever goal at Stade Jean Bouin and more importantly put the hosts on level terms. Kebbal then went one better, starting and finishing a passing move - getting on the end of a looped cross from Moses Simon (51'). But it wouldn't last long, as Georgi Tsitaishvili picked up a mistake from Kevin Trapp (on his return to Ligue 1 McDonald's) and put the ball on a plate for Boubacar Traoré to get Les Grenats on level terms (53').
Les Parisiens would get themselves ahead once again, this time Pierre-Lees Melou picking up the ball in midfield, before Maxime Lopez found a searching pass for Moses Simon to charge through on goal and finish underneath Fischer (66'). A red card then came for Sadibou Sané's late challenge on Simon, as Metz had to play the final 10 minutes with 10 men.
Despite looking in control for large periods of the game, AS Monaco threw away a two-goal lead in two minutes to a Strasbourg side that showed plenty of character after qualifying for the Europa Conference League last weekend.
Les Monegasques opened the scoring after a horrific mistake from Mike Penders saw new France international Maghnes Akliouche only have to finish into an open net (6'). Joaquín Panichelli thought he scored the equaliser after he was served by a superb ball from Diego Moreira, but the latter was adjudged to be marginally offside and the goal was ruled out.
Adi Hütter's men would then double their lead after Folarin Balogun was fed through by Lamine Camara and the US international finished with a chip over Mike Penders (48'). Les Monégasques had the handle of the affair, as Akliouche blasted over the bar before having another strike blocked. Les Alsatiens grabbed one back to keep themselves in the affair going into the final quarter of the game as Dilane Bakwa sumptuously volleyed home after Amo-Ameyaw's cross (72').
It was two minutes of madness, as Bakwa was then fouled only two minutes later to earn a penalty for his side - then converted by Joaquín Panichelli for his second goal in Ligue 1 McDonald's (75'). But Monaco wouldn't give up the fight, as Takumi Minamino came on and provided a diving header to put the hosts ahead in the final minutes of injury time, set-up by a superb chipped cross from Akliouche (90+6').
Le Havre grabbed their first win of 2025-2026 and in some style against OGC Nice. For the second game in a row Fodé Doucouré got on the scoresheet and this time opened the scoring with a well-taken volley after a superb cross from Issa Soumaré (12'). After a first period that saw not much goal action following Doucouré's goal, Les Aiglons managed to get back on level terms in the second half through Kojo Peprah Oppong (52') after Boudaoui sent in a cross from a short corner.
10 minutes would pass before the hosts managed to retake their lead, as panic reigned at the back for Nice and Rassoul Ndiaye would take advantage to stab home (60'). Nice were desperate to get back into the game, and it led to Les Aiglons conceding their final goal which Issa Soumaré tapped into the back of an open net after Yehvenn Diouf had gone up the other end for a corner in added time (90+5').
