The second multiplex of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 McDonald's season saw another three games take place this Sunday. Lens took their first points of the season with a win over Le Havre, whilst Strasbourg followed up last week's Derby de l'Est victory with another win over FC Nantes. Meanwhile, Toulouse built on their win last week against OGC Nice with another positive showing against Stade Brestois.
Lens won their first game of the season under new manager Pierre Sage thanks to a first half which saw the Sang & Or race into a two-goal lead in a matter of minutes. The away side had the opportunity to go one ahead in the first ten minutes when Sangante handled the ball in the box, and Wesley Saïd stepped up to convert the penalty emphatically to the right of Mory Diaw (9'). Les Sang et Or doubled their lead after a quick counter-attack with Rayane Fofana providing the finish after being slid into the right side of the box by Saïd, scoring his first-ever professional goal for Racing (40'). Yet Le Havre would get back into the game thanks to a stunning volley from Fodé Doucouré on his first appearance in Ligue 1 McDonald's. Whilst threatening in the second period, Didier Digard's men couldn't find a way to get back on level terms.
Strasbourg sealed their second win of the season by a one-goal margin to get six points out of their first two opening games of the season. It was an entertaining start between the two sides at Stade de la Meinau, both neither side could find the breakthrough until ten minutes from the end - when Emmanuel Emegha managed to nod ahead Les Strasbourgeois just seconds after failing to convert a glorious opportunity in front of an open net just a minute earlier (81').
Emegha has scored his first goal in Ligue 1 McDonald's this season, netting for the first time since 26th April 2025 against Saint-Étienne. Nantes, whilst easy on the eye and procuring chances through Benhattab, Matthis Abline and Mohamed couldn't get back into the game.
After their smash and grab win last week against OGC Nice, Toulouse managed to follow up with their second win of the season - this time at home to Stade Brestois. After a first half which saw little action, it would be Frank Magri who opened the scoring after being fed through on goal, picking up on an error from Chardonnet and then finishing at the near post despite Macjeki getting a knee to ball (52'). Magri then quickly grabbed his second, showing some quick reflexes to grab the ball after Brest failed to clear their lines before dribbling past Macjecki and sliding into an open net (64').
