RC Lens have their goalkeepers for next season. Following the arrival of Robin Risser, announced late last week as their new number one, the northern club have now added experienced goalkeeper Régis Gurtner to their ranks. The 38-year-old, who left Amiens SC this summer after ten seasons and over 500 professional appearances, has signed a one-year deal with Les Sang et Or and will serve as the team’s back-up for the upcoming season.
Soumaïla Coulibaly is back in Ligue 1 McDonald’s. After spending last season on loan at Stade Brestois 29 from Borussia Dortmund, the 21-year-old centre-back has decided to continue his career in France, joining RC Strasbourg Alsace on a permanent four-year deal. A product of the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy, Coulibaly signed his first professional contract with Dortmund in 2021 before loan spells at Royal Antwerp in Belgium and Brest.
FC Nantes have secured another loan move for Nicolas Cozza. The 26-year-old left-back returns to Les Canaris for a third successive loan from VfL Wolfsburg, following stints in the second half of the 2023/24 season and the entire 2024/25 campaign. A Montpellier HSC academy graduate, Cozza made 139 Ligue 1 McDonald’s appearances – including 27 last season.
AJ Auxerre have made another addition to their squad. One of the more active clubs in this summer’s transfer window, the Burgundy side completed the loan signing of 20-year-old Ibrahim Osman from Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday. A product of the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, Osman made his European debut in 2023 with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland before joining Brighton last summer. He spent last season on loan at Feyenoord Rotterdam, where he featured in 22 league matches (3 goals, 3 assists) and seven UEFA Champions League fixtures.
