Reims are coming off a match this week after drawing 1-1 in the first leg against FC Metz in the relegation playoff tie as the two sides determine which club will play in Ligue 1 McDonald's next season.
As for PSG, the Coupe de France will be the first of two finals that they have. The following weekend, they'll face Inter Milan for the UEFA Champions League trophy, so this contest against Reims could set the tone as Luis Enrique and his team aim to win the treble.
On Friday, Enrique spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on Reims, who have been a thorn in PSG's side this season as they haven't defeated them.
"For the moment, the most important final is the one against Stade de Reims. We haven't won any of our games against them this season. We drew twice, and if we take the last six matches, we have just one win and five draws."
"Playing a final is different to a Ligue 1 game. It's a 90-minute match with potentially extra-time. I like positional play and I know there will be that in tomorrow's game. As for our playing style, the players tell us about the difficulties they may have, then we try to improve it."
PSG have won three straight matches across all competitions after having a moment in which they had only one win in four games (one draw and two losses). They'll look to extend this streak and lift the Coupe de France, which would be the club's second straight domestic cup under Enrique.
As for Reims, they'll be looking to win their third-ever Coupe de France and their first since 1958. The closest that Les rouges et blancs have come to winning this trophy again was in 1977 when they reached the final but lost 2-1 to Saint-Γtienne.
Reims will look to win a trophy and use that to catapult them into the second leg against Metz as they'll play at home in hopes of keeping their status in Ligue 1 McDonald's.
