Former Ajaccio player Qazim Laci, who made nine appearances in France’s top flight, opened the scoring in the 11th minute for Albania, giving them a 1-0 lead. Croatia would respond with two unanswered goals in the second half to take a 2-1 lead.
Klaus Gjasula scored the game-tying goal in second-half stoppage time, and both squads left with one point heading into the final matchday. Albania will face Spain, while Croatia takes on Italy on Matchday 3.
Former Olympique Lyonnais standout Xherdan Shaqiri, who appeared in 11 Ligue 1 matches during his time with Les Gones scored the lone goal for Switzerland. Shaqiri's goal in the 26th minute leveled the scoring 1-1 after Scotland took a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute following a goal from Manchester United's Scott McTominay.
AS Monaco striker Breel Embolo came off the bench for Switzerland in the second half and played 30 minutes. Late in the match, the 27-year-old scored the go-ahead goal, but it was ruled offside as the contest would end in a 1-1 draw, with both teams taking a point heading into the final matchday.
Switzerland will look to claim the top spot in the group when they face Germany while Scotland faces Hungary.
The host nation picked up its second straight win in the tournament, and it has now taken all six points so far. Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, and FC Barcelona veteran İlkay Gündoğan added the insurance goal in the 67th minute for a 2-0 win.
Germany will look to go nine for nine in points in this group stage when they face Switzerland, while Hungary will be looking to earn their first points in a matchup against Scotland.
