Nice Punch UCL Qualifying Round Ticket With Six-Goal Performance

Understanding the importance of this match, Nice didn't waste time finding the back of the net. Franck Haise and his team scored three goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.

The opening goal came from Evann Guessand on a fast break as the 23-year-old dribbled past not one, not two, but three Brest players and then beat Marco Bizot to cap off the amazing goal.

Nice didn't have to wait long for the second goal as it came three minutes later in the 19th minute. Gaëtan Laborde took advantage of a poor clearance by Brest, was brilliantly found, and only had to tap the ball into Bizot’s net.

Less than 10 minutes later, in the 28th minute, the home side added a third goal via a penalty kick.

Nice received a penalty after Jonathan Clauss was held and pulled inside the box, and the referee didn’t hesitate to award the spot kick. Badredine Bouanani made it 3-0 by sending Bizot the wrong way to his left to convert the penalty.

After three unanswered goals, Nice's attack went quiet until the 75th minute, when Laborde scored a beautiful goal to increase the lead to 4-0. Beautifully set up at the far post by Melvin Bard, the forward delivered a left-footed bicycle kick with perfect balance for his second goal of the contest.

The goal scoring didn't stop there as Terem Moffi, who came off the bench in the second half, added the fifth goal for the home side. as the Brest defense was caught off guard once again, letting the substitute find the net too.

Nice added a sixth goal for the third goal of the second half to put a cherry on top of a fantastic match. Moffi was twice denied by Bizot, who made two close saves, but the ball eventually came back to Abdi, who pushed it into the net.
