RC Strasbourg 2-1 Toulouse FC

At a sold-out La Meinau, this match between two sides with designs on the European places lived up to its billing as a entertaining encounter. Emanuel Emegha hit the post just moments into the match, but neither the woodwork or Djordje Petrovic would be able to deny Les Violets' in-form striker Frank Magri. The Cameroonian scored for the fourth match in a row in the third minute, giving his side a lead they would take into the break, and in the process ending a scoreless streak for Petrovic that had extended to five matches.

Despite entering the break down a goal, Liam Rosenior's home side had showed plenty of intent over the first 45 minutes and were able to make good on it twice in quick succession to start the second half. Racing's first goal came on 47 minutes as Félix Lamaréchal headed home Diego Moreira's fine cross at the back post. A week on from getting a vital winner against Nantes, the former Monaco man had put his side level, and he soon turned provider, laying the ball off for Andrey Santos just four minutes later. The Brazilian midfielder -- captain on the night in the absence of Habib Diarra -- struck a powerful shot that caromed in off the inside of the post to give his side a lead they wouldn't relinquish, netting his eighth goal of the season to give his team a 2-1 lead that would see them extend their unbeaten run to six matches and move to within a point of LOSC Lille in sixth.

Stade Brestois 29 0-0 Stade de Reims

In the other completed match, it was honors even between Brest and Reims at the Stade-Francis Le-Blé, despite the two teams combining for nearly two dozen shots on goal. Reims, who have struggled in the league of late, having gone winless in their last fifteen matches, had most of the match's better chances, with Sergio Akiemé's effort just past the hour the best of them. Marco Bizot (two saves) was equal to the Spaniard's effort though, the result leaving Brest barely in the race for Europe and Reims two points above the relegation zone.

The stat: 29

RC Strasbourg have picked up 29 points over their last 12 Ligue McDonald's matches -- only Paris Saint-Germain (34) have done better.
