Recap: PSG and Reims Draw in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Debut

In the first half, PSG recorded nine total shots while Reims recorded two but neither side could break the scoreless deadlock in the first 45 minutes. The scoring did pick up in the final 45 minutes as it was the home side that broke the 0-0 scoreline.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was making his debut, recorded his first PSG assist on a goal scored by Ousmane Dembélé in the 47th minute. Kvaratskhelia made his way into the box and played a quick give-and-go with Désiré Doué, resulting in Dembélé firing a left-footed shot from the center of the area, putting PSG ahead against Stade de Reims.

Despite conceding the opening goal, Reims responded in the 56th minute as Keito Nakamura leveled the score at one-all. The 24-year-old found the back of the net with a right-footed shot from the center of the box after a swift counter-attack for his eighth goal of the Ligue 1 McDonald’s campaign.

Luis Enrique and his team recorded 18 total shots in the draw against Reims but Yehvann Diouf was a thorn in PSG's side for the entire match. The 25-year-old made six saves to keep the capital club from finding a second goal and his efforts allowed Reims to leave with one point.

Following the draw between PSG and Reims, Kvaratskhelia spoke to DAZN about the result while noting that the Parisians had several chances to score a second goal and leave with the win.

"It was a tough match. Reims are a good team, but I believe we could have won because we had a lot of chances. We could have scored, but we need to keep moving forward. We need to keep working hard and the good results will come... I think, in the final moments, we could have scored. We could have scored on many occasions, that's why we didn't win."

The Stat: Ousmane Dembélé's recent form in Ligue 1 McDonald's

After his goal against Reims, Dembélé found the back of the net in four straight league matches for the first time in his career.
