Last week Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was announced officially as a Paris Saint-Germain player in one of the biggest moves of this winter transfer window. We take a look at some other notable PSG players who have swapped the Napolitan city for the capital of France in recent years.
Fabian Ruiz
The Spaniard joined Napoli in July 2018 on a five-year contract, and made 125 appearances for the Serie A side and scored 18 goals before moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 2022. The Euro 2024 winner signed on a five-year deal with Les Parisiens and has made 65 appearances for Luis Enrique's side and scored six goals.
Ezequiel Lavezzi
The Argentine forward joined Napoli after they returned to Serie A, signing for the club in July 2007. He then went on to make 156 appearances for the Napolitan side, scoring 38 goals before signing for Paris Saint-Germain in 2012. The 51-capped Argentina international then went on to represent PSG in 107 games, scoring 22 goals before moving to China in 2016.
Edinson Cavani
After a great season at Palermo, Cavani made the move to Napoli in the 2010-2011 season, where he won the Coppa Italia and was Serie A's top scorer in the 2012-2013 season. In total the Uruguayan made 35 appearances on loan before 69 permanent appearances scoring 78 goals in total.
He then brought that goal-scoring form to Paris Saint-Germain when he signed in 2013, winning back to back domestic quadruples with Les Parisiens before winning Ligue 1 Player of the Year and back-to-back top scorer awards. By the time he finished his time with Les Parisiens he scored 138 goals in 200 appearances before moving to Manchester United in 2020.
