Winless entering this match despite having one of the league's best defences, Carlés Martínez Novell's side finally picked up three points with a comprehensive home win over Le Havre. Norway international Joshua King was making his first start for Les Violets since arriving this summer, but it would be the man who replaced him off the bench, Gabon international Shavy Babicka, who would break the deadlock in the 70th minute with a clever lob. Now with an impressive three goals, all from the bench, on the season, Babicka continues to impress. Just a minute from time, Yann Gboho would double the lead with his first goal of the season, putting the finishing touch on an impressive result for the hosts.

Nantes under Antoine Kombouaré had quietly been one of the league's better sides to start the season, as new signings Sorba Thomas and Tino Kadewere bedded in well and the team won two of their first three matches. When Douglas Augusto gave the hosts the lead at the Beaujoire, it looked as if another victory was in the offing, but Reims, looking for their second win in a row, had other ideas. Marshall Munetsi responded to level the match just minutes after Augusto had scored, and after pushing for nearly an hour for a winner, the Champagne side had one as their two Japan internationals, Junya Ito and Keito Nakamura, combined to seal a 2-1 a win to lift Luka Elsner's side to a provisional sixth place.
There was rather less drama in Strasbourg, though, as the hosts opened the scoring through summer signing Sebastian Nanasi before being denied by both the woodwork and visiting 'keeper Fofana. With luck on their side, they would then strike an equalizer through their own summer arrival, striker Bamba Dieng, the former Lorient and Marseille man leveling the match just past the hour. Emanuel Emegha would hit the post just a minute before full time, but try as they might, Racing would come no closer to a winner, leaving the points shared at La Meinau.
