Hosted across the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d'Azur region in France, the competition traditionally concludes with the final held in Toulon. In 2016, the tournament was renamed to honor its founder, Maurice Revello, who launched the event in 1967 and passed away that same year.

This year, the teams that feature in the tournament are France, Saudi Arabia, Mali, Panama, Congo, Denmark, Japan, and Mexico. Les Bleus are in Group A with Saudi Arabia, Mali, and Panama as they'll be kicking off their play in the group against the Saudis on June 3rd.

France will be looking to win this competition for the first time since 2022, when they defeated Venezuela. Over the past two years, though, they have back-to-back fourth-place finishes, losing to Australia and Italy.

In France's group, Panama will be a tough opponent, having won the tournament in 2023 by beating Mexico in the final. The Central American side will look to build on that success and challenge the host nation.

Group B also features past Maurice Revello Tournament champions. Mexico claimed the title in 2012 after defeating Turkey in the final. Japan had a strong run in 2019, finishing as runners-up to Brazil, while Denmark's best showing came in 2010, when they reached the final but lost to Cรดte d'Ivoire.

Japan's best finish in this tournament came in 2019 when they lost in the final to Brazil. Meanwhile,
