Crowned with a Ligue 1 McDonald's title in his first season at the club (2020-21), and subsequently winning the Champions Trophy, Jonathan David (25) has made his mark on LOSC Lille over five full seasons, notably allowing him to become Lille's top scorer of the 21st century and break several records.
The third-highest scorer in LOSC history...the best in Europe
With 109 goals in 231 matches across all competitions for Lille, the Canadian striker has the third-highest goal total in the history of the Dogues. He is second only to Jean Baratte (221 goals) and André Strappe (134).
In European competitions alone, Jonathan David also became the top scorer in Lille's history this season. By far the club's top scorer of the 21st century
With the northern club, David finished as top scorer in four of his five seasons at the club: a unique feat since Jean Baratte between 1947 and 1951. This consistency allows him to easily top the list of Lille's goalscorers this century. The striker is ahead of Eden Hazard (50) and Matt Moussilou (39).
Nationally, his total of 109 goals with LOSC places him seventh in the list of top scorers for a club in the 21st century, tied with Pedro Pauleta at PSG.
Twice on the podium for top scorers in Ligue 1 McDonald's
Scoring 16 goals this season, LOSC's number 9 reached his record total for a single Ligue 1 McDonald's season in 2022/2023 with 24 goals. A total that allowed him to finish on the top three of the goalscoring charts (3rd).

His best ranking, however, came last season. His 19 goals placed him in second place, with the same total as Lyon's Lacazette...
Efficiency: Only Mbappé has scored more than him...
Before the final matchday on Saturday, the LOSC striker had scored 87 goals in 177 top-flight appearances since 2020. A total that only Kylian Mbappé has beaten with his 111 goals scored since 2020/21 in the league.
Skill: Lacazette's equal
Among players who have scored at least 15 goals since the 2020/21 season, only Elye Wahi has a better shot-on-target percentage than the Canadian international in Ligue 1 McDonald's (56% vs. 54%). The Lille player is on the same level as Alexandre Lacazette (OL).
Durability: The most-used player in Ligue 1 McDonald's
Since joining Lille for the 2020/21 season, Jonathan David is the player who has played the most Ligue 1 McDonald's matches (177). No other player has more over this period.
