UNFP: PSG Stars Lead the Way in Team of the Year Honors

Here’s a rundown of players who made the cut to receive this honor:

Lucas Chevalier (goalkeeper)

One of the two non-PSG players to have made the Team of the season and rightfully so, as the Frenchman has been at the heart of LOSC Lille's push to finish in a European competition spot. Chevalier has made 33 appearances in Ligue 1 McDonald's while recording 11 clean sheets. Along with this honor, Chevalier won Goalkeeper of the Year this year.

Achraf Hakimi (right-back)

It was an all-PSG backline for the Team of the Year, and Hakimi kicked off this run. The Moroccan has appeared in 24 league matches for PSG this season, recording four goals and eight assists as he heads into the final matchday. Hakimi has earned a spot in the Team of the Year three times: 2022–23, 2023–24, and 2024–25.

Marquinhos (center-back)

The PSG captain has made 21 Ligue 1 McDonald's appearances for the capital club, racking up 1,651 minutes played while contributing one goal in league play this season. Marquinhos has earned the Team of the Year honor six times: 2017–18, 2018–19, 2020–21, 2021–22, 2023–24, and 2024–25.

Willian Pacho (center-back)

Pacho was a newcomer to PSG this season after arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer. In his first campaign with the newly crowned Ligue 1 McDonald’s champions, he has appeared in 27 league matches while recording one assist.

Nuno Mendes (left-back)

Mendes has been a stable presence on the left side for PSG this season, with the defender making 23 league appearances while recording two goals and two assists. This honor marks Mendes' third, having previously received the award in 2021–22, 2022–23, and now 2024–25.

João Neves (midfielder)

Neves arrived this past summer and didn't need to adapt as he hit the ground running in his first campaign. The Portuguese standout has made 28 league appearances while scoring three goals and recording eight assists.

Vitinha (midfielder)

Another Portuguese player from PSG made the cut for the Team of the Season. Vitinha has made 28 league appearances for the Parisians, scoring five goals and recording one assist. Vitinha has earned this honor for the second time, having been named in the 2023–24 and 2024–25 seasons.

Rayan Cherki (midfielder)

The second non-PSG player to make the list for Team of the Season is the Olympique Lyonnais standout. Cherki has recorded 18 goal contributions for Lyon this season (eight goals, 10 assists) in 29 league appearances as the Frenchman is part of the reason why OL are fighting for European football next season heading into the last matchday.

Désiré Doué (forward)

Another newcomer to PSG last summer was Doué after coming from Stade Rennais. The bright lights of the French capital have been nothing that the teenager can't handle as he has recorded six goals and registered eight assists.

Ousmane Dembélé (forward)

When Kylian Mbappé departed PSG last summer, many wondered how Luis Enrique and his team would replace his production. Although it was assumed that it would be by committee, Dembélé has been at the forefront of the attack, recording 21 goals and eight assists in 28 league appearances.

Bradley Barcola (forward)

Barcola is another player that has taken steps with the departure of Mbappé. This season, the Frenchman has recorded 14 goals and 11 assists in 33 league appearances for PSG this season.
