Lucas Perri's stock has been rising in French football lately with some stunning performances for Lyon.

Against Marseille, Lucas Perri broke a record for lyon in Ligu e 1 Mcdonalds with eight saves

Lucas Perri was one of the great figures of the Olimpico clash between Marseille and Lyon on Matchday 20. Despite OL's defeat at the end of a second half full of twists and turns (3-2), the 27-year-old goalkeeper put in a fine performance and frustrated the Marseille attackers for a long time. By making 8 saves, the Brazilian goalkeeper set a new McDonald's Ligue 1 season record and the highest total for a Lyon goalkeeper since Anthony Lopes in September 2023 (10 saves against Brest).

No one has made more saves than PErri

Arriving at OL in January 2024 and a starter since the start of the current season, Lucas Perri shows match after match that the Gones were right to recruit him from Botafogo. Complete, the last line of defence for Lyon is a real asset in goal; he wins points. With 80 saves since the start of the 2024/25 season, he is quite simply the goalkeeper who has stopped the most shots in McDonald's Ligue 1. In this ranking, he is ahead of Angevin Yahia Fofana (79), while Marcin Bulka of Nice and Gautier Larsonneur of Saint-Étienne (78) complete the podium.

Safe hands for Lyon

Olympique Lyonnais, who are currently seventh in the league (26 goals conceded), have their goalkeeper to thank. The Campinas native has proven since the start of the season that he is an efficient and consistent keeper. He has the best save percentage in the league (75.47%), just ahead of Marcin Bulka of Nice (75%). Yahia Fofana of Angers takes third place with a save percentage of 73.15%.

When it comes to clean sheets, only one goalkeeper has done better than Lucas Perri this season. Brice Samba, who moved from RC Lens to Stade Rennais this winter, is the current record holder after keeping eight clean sheets (seven with Lens, one with Rennes). The Lyon goalkeeper is just behind with 7 clean sheets. In second place, he is tied with Lucas Chevalier of Lille and Guillaume Restes of Toulouse.

Among the most selected goalkeepers in Fantasy Ligue 1

For all these reasons, Lucas Perri is one of the most used goalkeepers in Fantasy Ligue 1, week after week. He has one of the best averages in his position in the game (5.62/10) and is very regularly among the most expensive goalkeepers, i.e. those most selected by players.

The most ‘expensive’ goalkeepers this week in FL1:

1. Djordje Petrovic (RCSA): 22M

2. Lucas Perri (OL): 18M
