The promotion battle is still as tight as ever in the 18th round of Ligue 2 BKT action, with Bastia winning a fiery Corsican derby clash to move into the top half of the table.

SC Bastia 4-0 AC Ajaccio: Le Sporting dominant in Corsica derby clash

Benoît Tavenot's Bastia side were dominant in an action-packed Corsica Derby clash at Stade Armand-Cesari which saw plenty of goal-mouth action as well as a red card. Tom Ducrocq opened the scoring for the hosts via the penalty spot (19') before Felix Tomi doubled Bastia's lead only a few minutes later (23'). Lamine Cisse got on the scoresheet just before half-time (40') as Ajaccio's Everson Jr was shown a straight red two minutes later. Against the ten men of Ajaccio, Bastia would add one more goal in the second half to complete a memorable win over their island rivals.

Paris FC 1-0 Amiens: Les Parisiens back on top with win

Former Liverpool manager and current Red Bull head of footballing operations Jürgen Klopp paid his first visit to Stade Charléty as Paris FC ran out as 1-0 winners over Amiens to retake second place in the race for promotion. Pierre-Yves Hamel scored his 50th goal in PFC colours (50'), as Les Parisiens managed to get back to winning ways at home after falling to Martigues last week and temporarily go back to the top of the league.
