Paris Saint-Germain will attempt to snap their three-match winless streak across all competitions on Tuesday when they face RB Salzburg at Red Bull Arena on Matchday 6 of the UEFA Champions League's league phase.
In this winless skid, PSG have only recorded one goal, so if Luis Enrique and his team want to get themselves back into the win column, they'll need to find their scoring boots.
A victory over the Austrian side is also vital for the Parisians to keep their Champions League season alive. PSG only have four points through five matchdays in the league phase and are outside the top 24 spots to advance to the next stage of the competition.
Despite the struggles in the Champions League this season, PSG winger Bradley Barcola is confident that the squad can turn their fortunes around in these final three matchdays after he spoke to the media on Monday.
"We're not worried. We just want to put some good pressure on ourselves. I know that if we do things together as we have done since the start of the season, we'll get the job done. I've got real confidence in our team and our coach. We're working hard, so I have confidence in us and I know we'll get there."
Salzburg are also in a challenging spot as they only have three points through five matchdays. They'll have the home crowd behind them as the two sides need these three points to keep their aspirations of advancing to the next phase alive.
Luis Enrique spoke to the media on Monday and noted that playing against a desperate time poses its challenges.
"We'll be playing against an opponent who needs points. They're a team that builds from the back and presses a lot. We have the ball more often than our opponents, which should mean we leave them less space to exploit."
Salzburg has already played one Ligue 1 side this Champions League season, losing 4-0 to Stade Brestois in October. For PSG, they'll look to replicate a similar performance as Les Pirates did when facing the Austrian side as they look to end their campaign on a positive note to advance to the next stage.
