Will Still's Lens have only lost to Marseille, PSG, and LOSC this season.

Will Still arrived at Lens in the summer with a lot of expectation following his breakthrough stint with Stade de Reims. The Anglo-Belgian has managed to settle in with the Northern side, and is making steady progress with Lens this season.

Last weekend Still appeared in the dugout of his former side Reims, but this time as manager of RC Lens. Les Sang & Or managed to seal a solid 2-0 victory to get back to winning ways following a loss to Marseille at Stade Bollaert a week before.

Lens progress under Will Still

"Hats off to the players. It's not easy to change your system and apply everything you wanted to put in place in just four days," said Still following the game. "We saw a real performance from RC Lens, with efficiency and solidity in both areas. That's great and should serve as a launch pad, because we need to pick up points and continue on this positive note by winning."

The loss at home to Olympique de Marseille (1-3) marked only the third time that the Northern side has fallen to defeat this season. Only Roberto De Zerbi's side, along with Paris Saint-Germain (1-0) and local rivals Lille (0-2) have managed to win against Lens this season.

Tactical tweaks, but the same identity

"We have a playstyle and a clear identity that we want to put in place," Will Still said, speaking with RMC Sport last month about his first steps and the good form of Lens lately. "It hasn't been a million miles away from what was already in place here. So I think that has helped a lot. But I'm a competitor above all and I want to convert these draws into wins for the supporters."

Still recently made a big tactical change against his former side: moving from a back three to a back four. It's a move which led to Lens' victory over Les Rémois (0-2). "These are difficult and complicated choices,” admitted Still following the game."Individuals are not targeted. It's a choice for the team."
